More than 900 PAMF employees, doctors, their families and friends enjoyed watching the San Jose Giants take on the High Desert Mavericks on Saturday, August 20 during PAMF’s annual summertime event.
For Josie Dayrit, a patient services representative in the Mountain View Center’s Family Medicine Department, PAMF Day with the SJ Giants is a special highlight – she has sung the national anthem before the game for the last five years.
“It’s always a great experience singing the anthem,” says Dayrit. “I enjoy getting together with family and co-workers and meeting employees from other sites. I just have a ball! I’m blessed to work for such a great organization.”

Kenneth Lin, M.D., an internist and pediatrician at PAMF’s Redwood Shores Health Center, got to fulfill one of his longtime ambitions by throwing out the first pitch at the game.
“I’ve been a big baseball and Giants fan for as long as I can remember, but have never played before,” says Dr. Lin. “I always dreamed of being out there on the field, so this was my chance. I was a little nervous but it was also a lot of fun. My kids and nephews got to go out on the field, meet some of the players and receive their autographs, which they loved.”

To mark the occasion, 2,000 PAMF employees, doctors, their family members and friends received a commemorative beach towel that features the SJ Giants and PAMF logos.
